In mai 1995  Bernard Voyer, Thierry Pétry et Benoit Roy accomplished the first Canadian ski expedition accross the biggest Icecap in the northern hemisphere.   We have tried to do it again our way.

Starting in Isortoq, small settlement on the east coast, we will follow the glacier up to 10 000ft.  We will have to face a dangerous crevassed area, then we'll cross the arctic circle and we'll finally meet with a bumpy area of the glacier just before reaching Kangerlussuaq on the west coast.

This expedition will allow us to measure our mental toughness and our physical fitness under extreme temperature.  Our equipment will also be put to the test since these conditions are pretty tough on gear.

To simply resume it, this expedition is  400 miles of ski, 200lbs of equipment for each adventurer, approximately  10 000ft of altitude,  7000 calories every day, 10 hours of ski ,roughly 30 days on the icecap and a  budget of 40 000 $.
